Situated in central Thailand, Chaiyaphum is 342kms from Bangkok. Although not the most exciting place in Thailand, people travel to Chaiyaphum to see its fields full of beautiful flowers.
Although you won’t find many fancy western restaurants, luxurious hotels or go-go bars in Chaiyaphum, the town is surrounded by natural beauty such as a couple of national parks, waterfalls and caves to explore. This is a good place to walk in the countryside and discover Thailand’s natural beauty.
There are a number of silk weaving villages scattered around Chaiyaphum, and these are good places to visit to witness the traditional skill and pick up a souvenir or two before heading back to the touristy vibe of one of Thailand’s bigger cities.
