At 102 miles (165kms) from Hanoi, Tuyen Quang province has lots to offer to tourists: 80 percent of its area is covered by forests, and high peaks and stunning scenery welcome eco-tours and lead the traveler to hill tribes and village life.

The province has nation-wide important historical and cultural sites, such as Tan Trao, Kim Binh, Kim Quan, and Lang Ngoi-Da Ban. It is also famous for the siege of Tuyen Quang fortress that took place during the Sino-French War in the 19th century.
