Quang Ninh Province Travel Guide

This mountainous and coastal province is adjacent to the Gulf of Bac Bo and includes numerous islands. It is at the center of trade, thanks to an international gateway to China at Mong Cai and the only deep-sea port in northern Vietnam, Cai Lan.

But its most stunning attraction is undoubtedly Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site. With its stone islands, the scenery at this must-see place is amazing. Enjoy a peaceful, out-of-time cruising excursion winding through this magnificent bay, or paddling your own kayak.

Other sites in the province include Bai Tu Long bay and Bai Nau grotto, and archeological sites at Tan Mai, Cua Luc and on some islands.

Accommodation in Ha Long Bay is up to international standards and organized tours depart from Hanoi.
