With three kilometers of powdery white sand and turquoise water, Tuan Chau Island is a picture perfect tropical island.

Most activity on the island is focused around the beautiful Ha Long Bay, and here you will find most of the island’s accommodation and best restaurants. Water sports such as canoeing, water skiing, rowing and fishing are all popular, while there are a number of good dive sites around the island.

Most people who visit Tuan Chau Island go there in search of natural beauty and pure relaxation. However, there is also plenty to see and do for those with extra energy. The archeological sites of Halong Bay beckon, while food enthusiasts will find an excellent range of restaurants serving Vietnamese dishes as well as everything from cheap and cheerful fast food to gourmet meals.

Getting There & Away

There are regular flights from across the region to Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. From here Halong Bay can be reached by road in around 2 hours. From Halong Bay it is an eight kilometer drive to the pier.
