Tinituan Island is a small island in the Cuyo archipelago. It does not see many tourists and with the exception of its beaches, there is not much to see and do.
The white sandy beaches are idyllic and the prefect place to escape everything. It is the archetype of a deserted island and due to the lack of tourists; it is not hard to believe. There are limited amenities, which while adding to the charm it does mean that you should bring refreshments if arriving for the day.
The natural beauty is what is so inviting and makes it so hard to leave. Whether you prefer soft sandy beaches or lush forests, you will find plenty to keep you busy if you love the outdoors. There are no historic sights or man-made landmarks; however, the dense forests offer the chance to hike and spot a number of different species of wildlife.
Getting There & Away
Puerto Princesa, on Palawan, is the nearest major town. There is a domestic airport here which receives daily flights from Manila’s international airport. There are ferries available from here which make the 12-hour journey to the Cuyo once a week. There are smaller boats offering journeys to and from other nearby islands every day.
