Thang Hen Lake is a pretty lake in Cao Bang Province, northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. It is most popular with eco-tourists and is good during both the wet and dry seasons.

The lake is located at over 1,000 meters above sea level amid lush mountains and along with dozens of other pretty lakes. They are best seen during the wet season around September time when they fill up. During the dry season a cave is revealed in Thang Hen Lake owing to the falling waters. The main Thang Hen Lake measures around 500 by 300 meters.

Visitors can go boating on Thang Hen Lake as well as bamboo rafting in the winter where they can enter the cave. Nearby Thanh Luong Lake is also worth a look with its sharp mountain rising out of the middle.
