This central Thai province is one of the smallest in the country, covering an area of just 822 square kilometers (510 square miles). Situated in the flat river plains of the Chao Phraya river, the province is famous for its large reclining Buddha image located in the grounds of the royal temple, Wat Phra Non Chakkrasi.
While the province is relatively tiny, it receives a number of tourists, particularly the provincial capital (also called Sing Buri) where the European style Provincial Court and City Hall have been registered as National Ancient Monuments. Other attractions of the province include the Heroes of Khai Bang Rachan Monuments and the Khai Bang Rachan Park.
