Enjoying a large stretch of Palawan coastline, Roxas is a 1st class municipality with a population of around 50,000. The area, which has little to draw tourists aside from its popular island resort of Coco Loco, is divided into 31 barangays.

Roxas town has little to draw visitors with most people passing straight through en route to Coco Loco Island. This small islet just offshore from Roxas has just one resort that welcomes mostly honeymooners and couples.

Aside from romancing on Coco Loco, Roxas offers little else aside from white sandy beaches and inland jungle. Trekking with a guide is possible for those who want to spot local wildlife but naturally water sports are the most popular pastime here.

Getting There & Away

Roxas features a small airport that received flights from Manila daily (1 hour). Alternatively visitors can take a 20-hour bus from Manila to Puerto Princesa, from where minivans run to Roxas. The town hosts a pier that sees regular departures for Coco Loco Island (45 minutes).
