Queens Beach is a small beach in Vietnam, surprisingly located in front of the Quy Nhon’s leper hospital. It is a free and tranquil place to relax and watch the ocean lap the sandy beach in front of you.
Located about a mile and a half from Quy Nhon this is one of the quieter beaches in the area as many of the others are popular with tourists and locals at the weekends. It is by far the longest and cleanest beach in the region with only a few food vendors and hawkers unlike the mayhem of the towns other beaches.
There are many different paths around and one of them takes you up into the hillside where there is the tomb of the famous Vietnamese poet Han Mac Tu, who died in 1940. Other paths will take you to the leper hospital in the nearby town but do not be afraid, it is a great place to meet the residents and workers to get an insight into a whole different way of life.
