Boutaloke Lake is a picturesque spot to chill out for a while. The symbol of Pindaya is a spider, resulting from a legend where seven princesses were imprisoned in a cave by a giant spider. Full of quirky customs and traditions, Pindaya is an interesting place to get to know.
Home to the warm and welcoming Taung-yo people, Pindaya is a good place to simply soak up the atmosphere and relax for a while. Wander through the grounds of the local monastery and compare the styles of the numerous temples around the town.
Getting There & Away
The most convenient way to reach Pindaya is to fly from Yangon to Heho (1 hour) or from Mandalay to Heho (20 minutes). Share a taxi from Heho to Pindaya (3 hours).
