This list is designed to be a general guide and is not intended for a particular country. Obviously, this list would be altered depending on your destination, time of year you’re traveling in, importance of comfort, amount of money you will have and length of time you will be away. As well, you will need to take more than one of some items (such as socks and underwear). Again, this will depend on how important cleanliness and appearance are to you. Almost everything is optional! Remember that in our modern world, you can buy almost anything anywhere. Leave something at home if you are in doubt about taking it.

Each traveler will have their own priorities and will thus develop their own list, but this is a start and offers some considerations. To check out equipment and equipment-information available online, see our travel links.

NOTE: Print this list and use it as a pre-departure checklist. Feel free to copy this list for your own personal use. Paste it into a word-processing program and edit it to suit your own needs.
