Located in Cao Bang Province in northeastern Vietnam, Nguom Ngao Cave, also known as Tiger Cave, is a lengthy cave with some stunning underground scenery.
Nguom Ngao Cave is situated quite close to the famous Ban Gioc Waterfalls and the two are often visited in a single trip. The cave is stunning and massive, stretching for over two kilometers into the Cao Bang countryside and featuring caverns as high as 60 meters or more. Stalagmites and stalactites are all around and it is reputed that the caves lead all the way to the Ban Gioc Waterfalls where there is a secret entrance.
Visitors get to see the cave via a guided tour and an hour inside is about enough to see the 400 metres that is usually shown. You can ask to see more, but would also need to tip the guide some extra. Lighting covers the main part of Nguom Ngao Cave.
