Nevis is the smaller sister isle of St Kitts, even less developed and truly a tropical Caribbean paradise. Its capital, Charlestown offers visitors a sleepy colonial ambience and features the first Caribbean hotel dating back to the 18th century, which nowadays is the seat of government.

The island’s bathhouse was built in 1778 and is still popular with guests. The beautiful and isolated Pinney’s Beach on the northern coastline is covered with coconut palm trees and well-worth a peaceful leisurely walk, and several hot springs are open to the public to appeasing visitors’ aches and pains. Nevis is the ideal destination for those who want to get away from it all and the very last spot for a burnout.
