Kuala Kedah is a small town on the coast of Malaysia and is famous for its tasty local dishes like ikan baker and asam laksa. It is a pleasant area that is rich in history.
The town has a turbulent past and has been ruined and rebuilt countless times since being constructed in 1602. The fort is the main draw for tourists to the area and the sunsets are not to be missed from the historical monument.
Every evening, fishermen sell their catches of fresh fish and crustaceans at food stalls at the side of the road, which attract many locals from surrounding towns. The area is pretty and full of culture which makes it a popular place with local people as well as tourists.

Kuala Kedah is a 6-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur and only 1 hour from Alor Setar. There are daily flights to many major tourist destinations from both cities and buses, taxis and hire cars are all simple ways of reaching Kula Kedah from either airport.
