Hon Mieu is a small island off the coast of Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province, South Vietnam. Although the beaches are not the best, it has a laid-back feel and a beautiful lake.
Tri Nguyen Fish Lake is an outdoor aquarium and one of the main attractions on Hon Mieu. It is a dammed lake with dozens of species of fish and crustaceans on a breeding program. Visitors can kayak on the lake and visit a café on stilts.
The other main highlights of Hon Mieu are Tri Nguyen (the main village), which is set up around the bay and Bai Soai Beach on the other side of the island. Embarking on a boat trip around Hon Mieu is the best way to get the most out of the island.
