Flower Island is a tiny island in the northern part of Palawan Province. Apart from an exclusive resort which owns most of the island, there is nothing much here.
The beaches are stunning but there are no amenities if you are not staying at the resort, and inland is home to jungle, mountains and dirt tracks. It is not an ideal destination if you have no refreshments and nowhere to stay as options are limited. However, if you are looking for a romantic semi-deserted island to explore for a few hours it is perfect.
Flower Island is located just off the main coastline of Palawan and was until recently a deserted island with no inhabitants. After the single resort was built, tourist numbers have grown; but not to the point of the island being overrun.
Activities include snorkeling, diving and sunbathing as well as hiking through the lush forests found inland. There is an abundance of wildlife to see but you will have to look carefully.
Getting There & Away
Taytay is the closest town and has its own airport which receives daily flights from Manila (1 hour, 30 minutes). It is also possible to reach Taytay by land, from where it is a short drive to the pier and a ferry ride to Flower Island (1 hour).
