Located to the north of Nha Trang in the Ninh Hoa coastal area of Khanh Hoa Province, Doc Let Beach is a long white beach with plenty of appeal for day trippers from Nha Trang.

Doc Let Beach has great swimming and bathing and is backed by large dunes and pine trees. Most tourists visit on a daytrip from Nha Trang or on a stop off on the way north or south. There are plenty of resorts here and although there’s a small town nearby, there isn’t much to do, apart from relax.

Those who fancy having a look around beyond the shores of Doc Let Beach do have one or two options however. There is an authentic fishing village nearby, along with Khoi salt-field, and Heo Island; the latter of which features an old base that has seen action against the French and Americans.

Getting There & Away

Doc Let Beach is accessible along highway 1 going north of Nha Trang. Public buses do run to the beach direct from Nha Trang, although most people visit on tours. Trains stop off here on the way to or from Ho Chi Minh City, which is home to the closest airport. Buses and trains from Ho Chi Minh take the best part of a day.
