Cuyo Town is the main tourist center within the Cuyo archipelago. There is not much to see or do here, but this in part is why people visit; to get away from everyday life.

The town dates back to the 17th century, when it was colonized by the Spanish. The Spanish turned the locals to the Catholic faith, which has been the dominant faith ever since. The churches located throughout the town are particularly impressive for anyone who is interested in Spanish colonial architecture while those who prefer to sunbathe will find beautiful beaches just minutes away.

There is a famous festival held here every August which is a must-see if you are visiting during this time. Street parties are the norm during festivities as well as large feasts and much amusement.
