Palm Beach County in Florida gives us the large and heavily populated city of Boca Raton, a scenic, coastally-situated destination which enjoys a fine subtropical climate which guarantees it an average temperature of 78ºF. The city, while relatively young, saw inhabitants as far back as the years preceding the 18th century.
While Boca Raton can’t really hope to compete with Florida’s more popular visitor destinations such as Orlando, Jacksonville, Kissimmee and Tampa, its proximity to the sea gives it an obvious appeal and combined with a great climate, this offers visitors plenty of chances to enjoy relaxing days lounging on golden sands or enjoying water sports.
Downtown Boca Raton offers excellent dining and shopping opportunities at Mizner Park, an outdoor center with a highly agreeable ocean-side location. There are golf courses for those looking for sporting holidays and public parks and swimming pools offering similarly active pursuits.
