Apulit Island is a remote marine island sanctuary in North Palawan, that huge tourist destination in the western Philippines famed for its beaches and diving. Apulit Island is commonly associated with its high profile Club Noah Isabelle resort.
The island is located somewhere between Taytay and El Nido of North Palawan, but off to the east in the Sulu Sea. Aside from Club Noah Isabelle and many other resorts, there are some cracking beaches on the island, namely Taytay Bay, with its palm-lined beaches and turquoise waters.
Apulit Island, like most of the rest of North Palawan, also has superb scuba diving options although prices here are markedly more expensive than in the likes of the Calamian archipelago to the north.
Those who have spare time while in this region might like to take a look at the main North Palawan town of El Nido, which also boasts fantastic beaches and snorkeling. The previous capital of Taytay lies south of here.
Getting There & Away
Although Puerto Princesa Airport in Central Palawan is the main entry point to Palawan, there is a closer airport to Apulit Island just outside Taytay town. Taxis and jeepneys run from here to the pier near Taytay, from where boats leave to Apulit Island. The boat trip takes a couple of hours.
