Situated in Sichuan Province, Zoige is a small Tibetan town with plenty of charm and character.
There’s not really a lot going on in Zoige and most people pause here in order to explore the nearby attractions such as monasteries and meadows. Even though the days are hot during the summer, the evenings can be very chilly and it is best to take a jacket of a blanket to ward off the midnight frostbite.
Although in Zoige the pleasures are modest, the welcome is warm and there is plenty of flowing local liquor to make up for the lack of nightlife. There are plenty of places to drink in the evening, as long as you don’t mind being the number one tourist attraction for the people who live there.
