North Thailand’s rugged terrain is ideal for all kinds of extreme sports, and at this center you can participate in any one of half a dozen thrilling activities that give an adrenalin rush. These include bungy jumping, paintball, off-road buggies, indoor drift karts and Xorb Balls.
Which you choose depends on personal taste. Some people would never try bungy jumping, though they would get a kick out of driving an off-road buggy over the slopes of Doi Suthep. In the same way, some get a thrill out of rolling round inside a Xorb Ball while others just get dizzy and sick.
Whichever activity appeals for an adrenalin rush, this is a good place to go with a crowd of friends and hang out for half a day. There’s also a good restaurant on site serving both Thai and Western food where you can replenish your energy after burning off a bunch of calories.
Getting There
If you sign up for one of their activities, they will arrange to pick you up for free at your hotel in Chiang Mai and take you back after (spectators pay 200B). If coming under your own steam, take H107 north out of Chiang Mai, and after passing through Mae Rim, turn left on to H1096 along the Mae Sa Valley. You’ll find the X-Centre after about 3.5km on the left. The nearest airport is in Chiang Mai.
