The pretty town of Wuzhen is located at the meeting point of six ancient towns south of the Yangtze River. Dating back to the late Tang Dynasty, this pretty water town is a good place to explore.
Picturesque Wuzhen is best explored by boat, and this is an inexpensive way to see the sights. Slowly glide along the waterways and allow plenty of time to indulge in the mouth watering range of delicacies. Enjoy a cup of tea at the stylish pavilion before exploring the town on foot.
Conveniently located just two hours from the city of Shanghai, Wuzhen is a popular daytrip destination. However, there is plenty here to amuse and entertain, and many people end up extending their stay for a day or two. There are plenty of places to stay here and accommodation can be quite reasonably priced.
