This peaceful temple sits on a low hill directly opposite Wat Sri Khom Kham and is surrounded by a teak grove.

It doesn’t attract anything like as much interest as its neighbor, and in truth is only worth visiting if you’re at Wat Sri Khom Kham, as it’s so close. When you arrive, you’ll likely find the place empty apart from a monk sweeping leaves and dogs snoozing in the shade.

The main interest here is the stupa, which consists of a golden inverted cone sitting on a square base with indented corners, and a gold umbrella standing at each corner of the structure. It is believed to be very old, though no-one is sure just how old. Through the teak trees that surround the temple, you can catch glimpses of the lake below.

Best to hire a motorbike taxi as it’s a bit far from town and there’s no public transport.
