The most famed element of this temple, which is located on the west bank of the river, is a Sukhothai-style chedi that houses important relics, but if you come here expecting to see crumbling laterite buildings as in the historical park, you’re in for a surprise.

The chedi has long since been built over in a Burmese style, and while it’s an impressive size, this and all the temple buildings are in modern style but a bit run down, so it’s hardly worth the effort of crossing the river to see.

Follow Highway 101 across the river to the west, do a U-turn and then a left turn along a narrow riverside road. You’ll find Wat Borommathat after about 500 meters on the right.
