Tombstone Travel Guide

The town too tough to die is located in the southeastern corner of Arizona. Steeped in legendary wild-west history, it is best known for the infamous gun battle at OK Corral. Today, the town attracts large numbers of tourists seeking to capture the old pioneer and lawless spirit.

A genuine National Historic Landmark, some of the best-preserved 1880s old-west buildings in the US can be admired in this town, along with interesting exhibitions in the many museums. But Tombstone is also a real town with real residents who have lived here throughout the years.

Many traditional saloons put on live music on weekends and dancing is popular with locals and visitors alike. Daytime entertainment includes gunfight shows, stagecoach and wagon tours or relaxing in the city park. Dining options are mostly limited to huge piles of meat served on giant plates.
