The protected Sohoton Natural Bridge is a true showcase of the great use of natural resources in the Filipino region of Samar and is internationally recognised as a place of natural grandeur.
Full of caves, rivers, limestone formations, forest and cascading waterfalls, the national park is packed with towering trees and the gentle sound of insects and gushing water. Situated only three miles upstream from Sito Rawis, the natural bridge is made up from limestone shaped into a huge arch that joins two mountains that span the Sohoton River.
The bridge stands at an impressive 23 feet and runs for about 40 meters in length and its top end is covered in forest while its underside is covered in hanging stalactites that jut down like icicles into the valley below.
As well as the bridge, there is a collection of large caves that are full of interesting rock formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, and virgin jungle that is home to huge cliffs and secret caverns makes up the rest of the park, which covers a total of 840 hectares.
