Sidangoli resides on the west coast of Halmahera Island in North Maluku Province. It lies across the bay from Ternate Island and is best known for its many nearby volcanoes and bird life.
Sidangoli is a center for legal logging although there’s not much in the way of a town or tourist facilities. Most people make the effort to come to this part of North Maluku province for the landscapes (trekking) and for the abundance of many unique bird species.
In addition, there are several nice white sand beaches and black volcanic sand beaches. You can get to them by road or boat. Also in this region of the northern arm of Halmahera Island are many small islands where there is some great snorkeling and swimming.
