With its lazy feel, strong Spanish influence, abundant historic architecture and lively arts scene, Santa Fe is a destination with plenty to offer tourists. The city features a number of Catholic ecclesiastical buildings inspired by its long Spanish heritage, including the St Francis Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel, one of the oldest churches in America at 400 years old.

Many of the museums focus on the city’s Spanish and Native Indian heritage. The Museum of Fine Arts and Georgia O’Keefe Museum feature particularly impressive works focusing on New Mexico, with numerous paintings by O’Keefe and Alfred Steiglitz. Santa Fe likes to get in the festival mood, hosting special events like summertime jazz and wine festivals.
