Located 70kms northwest of the city of Guangzhou, Qinyuan is an industrial town situated on the banks of the Bei Jiang River.
Although the town itself is not the prettiest place to hang out, there are a number of interesting tourist attractions here. The temples of Failai and Feixia are located just upstream from Qinyuan and taking a ferry to the temples is a good way to spend a couple of hours.
Luckily, the large city of Guangzhou is just a short bus ride away, making this a convenient place to visit on a daytrip from the province capital. Those who do decide to spend the night in Qingyuan will find some interesting accommodation options here as well as plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Getting There & Away
Qinyuan can be reached by bus from the province capital of Guangzhou in less than 2 hours. Qingyuan is well connected by bus and there are also regular buses from Foshan (2 hours), Shenzhen (3 hours), Tingde (2 hours) and Feixia (2 hours).
