Puraran is home to a small community of just 300 people. It is located on the island of Catanduanes and known as an eco-tourist’s paradise with very little in the way of construction.
The locals are very relaxed and Puraran is ideal for those wishing to escape the mad and fast paced lifestyle that the western world has become accustomed to. Nature is at the forefront of people’s mind here as it is all around, with stunning views of mountains, golden beaches and beautiful horizons.
Popular with surfers, the waves have a perfect barrel type surf that seems to stretch as far as the eye can see. The Pacific leads into the Philippine Sea, which gives the surfers that ideal break to ride on. The golden sandy beach entices visitors to relax the day away while they top up their tan before delving into the crystal clear waters to check out the abundance of marine life on show.
