The town of Prachuap Khiri Khan is located in central Thailand, bordering Chumphon, Petchaburi and Myanmar. The region is similar to nearby Hua Hin but far less crowded and arguably more beautiful.
Prachuap Khiri Khan is full of things to do and see yet is it is largely undeveloped with most visitors to the area preferring the busier Hua Hin. The forests and mountains are the perfect bases for hiking and trekking and the islands just off the coast are easily reached by boat.
There isn’t much in the way of nightlife but there are a scattering of bars and a nice selection of restaurants. The diving off the coast is decent with the coral reefs and marine life not yet affected by mass tourism. The accommodation is varied with something to suit everyone’s budget.
