Pingxiang is located in the western part of Guangxi Province and dates back to the 6th century BC. It is a deeply cultural city which has played an important part in the history of China since its inception.
It is nestled among hills and forests and like many other cities in the area, is home to a large number of hill tribes. It is a beautiful spot and perfect for nature lovers who are hoping to get away from the hustle and bustle of the larger cities.
There is not a large selection of sights and attractions to choose from but this is not the town’s greatest appeal. The real charm lies in the beauty and peacefulness. There are many outside activities to enjoy for those who like to get active.
Getting There & Away
The nearest airport is in Nanning, which receives daily flights from cities all across China. The flight time from Beijing is approximately 3 hours. From Nanning, there is a train to take visitors to Pingxiang with a journey time of 3 hours, 30 minutes.
