Heading northwest up the Balinese coastline from the busy areas of Kuta Beach and Seminyak, visitors will begin to see a little more of Bali start to unfold. What makes this area so amazing is the sheer amount of lush green countryside so far unspoilt by development.

With a deeper look into the local surroundings here is easy to see why so many private villas are owned by foreigners as holiday homes and investments. The beach area here is fairly quiet and the majority of visitors only come to soak up the waves and the surf. The waves, from a surfer’s point of view, are ideal and the beach holds a lot of appeal for anyone looking to enjoy a quieter atmosphere than many of the main Bali beaches offer.

Along the whole of Pererenan Beach there is only one hotel and one small warung; a restaurant catering to both western and local tastes. The undeveloped beach makes a refreshing change from the many overrun beaches on the island.

If visitors are looking for an upbeat beach on which to stay then they have come to the wrong place! This beach is all about chilling out, surfing and taking time to appreciate the surroundings and the beauty of Mother Nature before developers seize this land and create yet another busy beach area.

Pererenan Beach is very remote and as such it is not possible to use public transport directly to this location from Kuta. The simplest solution is to hire a taxi to take you directly to the beach on the 25 minute journey. If you are not staying in the solitary hotel here, it is advisable to ask the driver to wait or come back at an arranged time
