Pasar Panjang lies just south of Singkawang City on the West Kalimantan coast. This area is not as highly visited as the beaches of East Kalimantan yet features long, white, quiet bays.
This area of coast is about 15kms to the southwest of Singkawang and is in two parts: one rocky and the other sandy. The sandy beaches generally offer good sunbathing and swimming, while water sports options are also available including snorkeling and surfing.
The main islands visible from the Pasar Panjang coast are Kabung, Randayan and Lemukutan, all of which can be visited by boat from various piers down the coast. You can also go trekking from Pasar Panjang and enjoy the facilities along the coast - hotels, restaurants and souvenir shops.
