Pahlung Village lies in Mondulkiri Province, in the Cambodian east, and is one of the top tourist attractions in the region.

It is especially popular with trekkers, while elephant treks into the village are especially popular owing to the scenic trail and surroundings of Pahlung Village.

The wonderful route goes from nearby, at the town of Sen Monorom, via rainforests and waterfalls through a region loaded with a diverse range of flora and fauna. The village itself is occupied by friendly locals that live in huts and houses with the forest all around.

Agencies in Sen Monorom can organize a trip for visitors to Pahlung Village on a half-day or full day excursion and you can also go by moto-taxi, where the rider may even be able to arrange a tour. Camping in the village is also possible.

Many visitors combine a trip of Pahlung Village with a side trip to the beautiful Bous Raa Waterfalls, which are also nearby. During the busy tourist season it is best to arrange an elephant the day before and also be sure to wear long pants.

You can trek here by elephant on a tour, which will include transport from Sen Monorom, or take a moto-taxi from Sen Monorom (1 hour). Sen Monorom is a full day’s journey from Phnom Penh.
