Famous as one of the best places for diving in the Philippines, the beautiful desert island paradise of Padre Burgos is very popular with tourists who want to witness the flawless beauty for themselves.
Few visitors to Padre Burgos stir far from the beach, choosing to simply lie on the pristine white sand and soak up the sun or swim in the clear water. Those who do make it off the beach usually go on boat trips or diving. Whale watching trips are popular, and there are a number of tours available.
Aside from the usual beach activities, Padre Burgos offers visitors the chance to get involved with local projects and support the ecosystem. The Coral Cay Conservation program is working hard to preserve the area’s natural beauty, while a German-run orphanage is looking after the needs of the children.
