O’Sinlear Waterfall, one of Ratanakiri’s top tourist attractions, is a stunning waterfall consisting of four tiers that makes for excellent photographs, especially when snapped from a distance.
Visitors can swim in the cool waters when the water flow isn’t at peak flow, though it is a popular picnic spot with locals throughout the year, particularly on weekends.
When to Go
O’Sinlear Waterfall is enjoyable year round, though in the rainy season, particularly August and September, you may have difficulty navigating the muddy roads. December through March has the nicest weather, best roads, and still a decent amount of water to enjoy the falls.
Getting There
The best way to get to O’Sinlear is from Ban Lung on a motorbike (with good directions or a map), motodop taxi with a local guide, or a minivan from your hotel. There are signs for the falls, but that doesn’t mean you are guaranteed not to get lost or injured, particularly as the road is bumpy when dry and slippery when wet.
