Situated in the island of Leyte in the Philippines, Ormoc is a rather ordinary city with few attractions for tourists.
The main attraction here is the healing waters of the hot springs on the edge of the city, which are located in a large and lovely national park. A couple of rivers flow through the city, and these are a good place to wander in the sunshine.
There are plenty of places to stay in Ormoc for those who want to stay the night. This is a good place to try the local cuisine as it varies from that found in many other parts of the Philippines and there are plenty of restaurants and cheap food stalls scattered around the city.
Getting There & Away
Ormoc has its own airport and there are regular flights from Manila (1 hour), as well as buses from all over the Philippines.
