The city of Naperville is situated at the embankments of the DuPage River in Will and DuPage County in Illinois. In July 1831, Joseph Naper arrived here with his family and friends to discover what would be recognized as ‘Naper’s Settlement’. Nowadays, Naperville is the state’s fourth largest city, behind Chicago, Rockford and neighboring Aurora. Due to the erection of the Moses Tower and Millennium Carillon, Naperville was chosen as a White House Millennium Community in 1999.

Naperville offers visitors a small town community spirit as well as big city culture and enthusiasm. It features a couple of tourist sites such as the Moser Tower Millennium Carillon and Centennial Beach. The River Walk is recognized as one of the Midwest’s most beautiful spots, while Century Walk provides a walking tour of Naperville’s past. Culture buffs have many museums and theaters to choose from.

Several country and golf clubs provide for social and sports activities, while innumerable dining places cater for visitors with a great variety of local and international cuisine such as Cuban, French, Indian, Irish, Mongolian, Polynesian and Thai. Nightlife is somewhat restricted but the indefatigable bar-hopper will locate one or two drinking place in downtown Naperville.
