Getting There & Away

The best way to reach Nanxun is to fly to nearby Shanghai and take a bus. Shanghai International Airport serves a range of domestic and international destinations such as Beijing (1 hour, 50 minutes); Guangzhou (1 hour, 30 minutes) and Xian (2 hours, 20 minutes). There are local buses making the short journey to Nanxun, taking about 1 hour.

Xiaolian Garden

A beautiful garden dating back to the qing dynasty. it boasts beautiful lakes, winding paths and beautiful plants. it is a good escape and a peaceful area in which to sit back and relax. in the west part of the garden, visitors will find 10 ancient camphor trees.

Former residence of Zhangjingjiang

This is a well-preserved building which was built in the ming dynasty. it has been reconstructed to look as it would have done during this time.

Jiaye Tang Hall Library

One of the three private libraries in the province. there is a beautiful lake surrounding the library complete with lotus flowers, a stunning rockery, pavilions and footpaths. the library itself is home to some rare chinese books.
