Nai Han, or Nai Harn, is a fine Phuket beach toward the south of the island that is popular with locals. It can be found near Phrom Thep Cape and is on a dead-end road, making it all the more appealing.
Nai Han Beach is not the easiest place to get to as you have to skirt inland a fair way through to the town of Nai Han before heading for the beach. This, and the large temple behind the beach, has kept it less developed than most other western Phuket beaches.
It does, however, have a few hotels, including the swanky Le Meridien, and also comes with good swimming and snorkeling. The small town area of Nai Han, a few kilometers from the beach, is also pleasant and comes with many cafés and some shops, while a lagoon lies between the beach, the town and Phrom Thep Cape.
Getting There & Away
Nai Han is one of the most difficult to reach beaches from Phuket International Airport due to the distance and round-about way of getting here. It is best accessed by taxi or hire car via routes 4026, 402, 4021 and 4024 from the airport and Rawai Beach. Phuket Town is 40 minutes from Phuket Airport and is the main center on Phuket.
