My An Beach Travel Guide

Also known as China Beach, My An Beach is situated on Vietnam’s southern coast. Boasting a four-kilometer stretch of white sand, it is a popular place to get away from it all.

Before 1975, My An was a natural beach but after the liberation day, local authorities chose to build a sanatorium and a resting house here in order to serve civil officials of the former Quang Nam. Nowadays, visitors will find several fine resorts as well as a wide range of accommodation for every taste and budget.

It is only a 10-minute shuttle bus ride to the ancient town of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring charmingly preserved merchants’ houses and narrow streets. Da Nang is only a few kilometers away and presents the Marble Mountains, a cluster of Buddhist temples built into the caves, which have become a very popular tourist draw.

Getting There & Away

My An Beach is easily reached by air and road. Just 25 minutes away by road, Da Nang International Airport receives flights from the capital Hanoi and from Ho Chi Minh City on a daily basis, and there are also three flights a week from Singapore and Bangkok. By car, My An Beach can be easily accessed from the west bank by crossing Song Han Bridge.
