Mangsit Beach belongs to the Senggigi region of west Lombok Island, West Nusa Tenggara. It is one of the quieter beaches in a long stretch of resort filled beaches and has a good deal of top-rated accommodation.
The Senggigi region stretches for 30kms along Lombok’s western shore and features many fine beach resorts, including Mangsit Beach, Tanjung, central Senggigi, and Batu Bolong. The town of Senggigi is the main settlement here and lies about 20 minutes north of Mataram, the island capital.
There is little development on Mangsit Beach compared with other beaches in the area, with Senggigi and Batu Bolong having the bulk of the facilities. Well-heeled tourists have the pick of plush boutique villas in the Mangsit Beach area, while the scuba diving and snorkeling is also good.
A popular daytrip from Mangsit Beach is the nearby Gili Islands to the north. They lie just offshore and can be reached by boat from Senggigi.
Getting There & Away
