The Filipino province of Siquijor is full of mystery and intrigue, and the former capital and small town of Larena is no exception.
Home to an important seaport, Larena doesn’t get many visitors except for those in transit as the area is a commercial hub that acts as a gateway to the rest of the province. It is mainly a business related town, with many entrepreneurs based here, although there are some attractions in the area.
The province is fairly simple and Larena is one such place that has so far been untarnished by tourists and their imposing imprints. The coastal areas have remained clean and picture perfect, with many visitors coming to simply relax on the beach.
