Lagoi is one of Bintan Island’s finest beaches. It blends the beauty of its natural surroundings with excellent accommodation choices and relative isolation.
Among the countless beaches in the Riau Archipelago, Lagoi is one of the more popular choices for visitors who stop at Bintan Island. Lagoi is located in one of the more secluded corners of Bintan, offering visitors plenty of quiet tropical beauty. But the beach is also home to all the amenities anyone would need for a relaxing vacation.
With coconut trees fringing the powdery stretch of sand, and perfectly clear calm waters, Lagoi is well worth a lingering visit. The locals who live in the neighboring village are known for their friendliness, adding to the appeal of the place.
Complementing the fun found on the beach are other incredible natural sites such as the Sebong River for a boat cruise, the mangrove forest with its eerie unique scenery, and numerous well-run resorts that provide water sport rentals along with great food.
Getting There & Away
Lagoi is located on the island of Bintan, which is easily reached by ferry or plane from Singapore, Johor Bahru or Batam. There is a tiny airport just outside Bintan’s main town of Tanjung Pinang servicing a handful of weekly regional flights. But most people arrive via ferry from Singapore (2 hours). From Tanjung Pinang it takes about 90 minutes to reach Lagoi by road via taxi or rental car.
