Khlong Lan is one of Thailand’s less visited national parks but its rugged terrain and lush vegetation make it a good spot for a wilderness experience.

The main attraction is Khlong Lan Waterfall, which tumbles about 100 meters down a mountainside in dramatic fashion and is one of the most photogenic falls in the country.

There are also several other falls and viewpoints worth visiting, and if you’re lucky you might see wild pigs or barking deer, as well as macaques and squirrels as you stroll along the nature trails.

There are some cute bungalows beside park headquarters that you can rent for 600B a night, as well as a campsite and grocery store.

Follow Highway 1 south of Kamphaeng Phet to kilometer marker 346, then turn right on to Highway 1117. Follow this for 36km to the Khlong Lan intersection, then a right turn brings you about 6km later to the park. If you don’t have your own transport, contact Three J Guesthouse, as they occasionally run trips here.
