Often over-looked by tourists and travelers, the pretty city of Iligan has a natural charm that is mirrored by the area’s natural beauty and easy-going attitude of the people who live here.
This is a good place to visit for those who like to be active as there is plenty to explore. The area is famous for its waterfalls and it is easy to find tours that take tourists to several of the spectacular falls in one day before returning to the city centre for a drink and good meal.
A great time to visit Iligan is during the Alimyon Flower Festival, which takes place at the end of October. During this time the city is full of brightly-colored flowers which are brought to sell from the surrounding farms.
