Nestled between Nakhon Si Thammarat and Surat Thani, Hat Sichon is the first of three beaches in Sichon. It is a small, clean and fairly undeveloped beach popular with local Thais.
Hat Sichon is home to a handful of piers and a small fishing community, making it the busiest of the three beaches within Sichon. Moored on all of the rickety wooden piers there are many colorful boats to admire along the sea front. Fresh seafood is abundant here and the restaurants and local food stalls are great for eating authentic Thai cuisine. The local accommodation is comfortable and affordable as this is not a tourist hot spot.
The town of Sichon is only a few minutes walk from the shoreline. With its laid back style and atmosphere, the most exhilarating activity on offer is watching the traffic pass through and the local people going about their daily lives. There is a bustling market to wander around and some great food stalls opposite serving local dishes.
