This secluded beach on the northwest coast of Ko Phi Phi Don sits between Hat Laem Thong and Ao Ton Sai. It’s prized for its calm waters and relative seclusion on an island that’s known for attracting crowds.

There aren’t any hotels or bungalows here so the only way in is by boat. The best way to enjoy Hat Ranti is on a daytrip with a picnic basket. Just make arrangements with a longtail boat driver to drop you off and then pick you up again at a set time.

Chances are you’ll have the beach to yourself though a few sightseeing boats may meander past with tourists in tow. These come and go quickly and aren’t much of a disruption. Local fisherman may stop by as well.

Getting There & Away

Hat Ranti can be reached in about 20 minutes by longtail boat from Ton Sai Pier. From Ton Sai there are two ways to get on or off the island. One is by ferry and involves a 2 to 3 hour voyage to either Krabi or Phuket. The other is by seaplane to Phuket International Airport. If your international carrier doesn’t offer service to Phuket, you can transfer to the massive international airport at Bangkok (1 hour).

The beach

Is the sole attraction here, but it’s all a visitors could ask for including white sand, calm waters and swaying palm trees.
